Voice Setup - 1 of 2 Change Microphone Volume
Talk in There!
We hope you're excited about experimenting with voice! You can talk when you're standing around, and you can talk when you are using instant messaging. If you want, you can always type as well as talk. Only other people who are voice-enabled can hear you.
To use voice, you need to configure your sound levels. This is really easy. Please follow the directions below and on the next page.
Silence Test
This test will set the minimum volume levels required by your microphone. You must have your headset/microphone plugged in & activated for this test to work. Click the button below to begin, and do not speak into your microphone. The test will run approx. 15 seconds.

Speaking Test
Click the button below to begin, then read the following paragraph out loud in a normal, conversational tone.
We are now gathering information about your normal speaking volume. Continue to read this paragraph until the test completes. When the test is done, you will hear a beep and a screen confirming the test completion will appear. If you get to the end of this paragraph before the end of the test, start reading it again from the beginning. The entire test should take approx. 15 seconds.
